Brilliant freedom of development

For developers, time is money. Deadlines are pressure points. Delivery needs to be blistering fast, without compromising the brilliance.

Brilliant doesn't always come easy. Often, it's a matter of exploring every facet of a good idea, overcoming challenges along the way, and finding the most compelling solution—a solution you'll revise, refine, and sometimes even redesign. That's all part of the creative adventure. But wouldn't you like to work faster, express your vision with greater clarity, and be inspired by new ideas along the way?

From a CS4 Beta Tester:

Tony Redhead, director, Red Square Productions.
"Our workflow, in the creative area, is based upon delivering conceptual art/animations/presentations that are delivered to the client for review. Following on from that review there is more often than not a period in which the conceptual is refined and redeveloped into the final product.

"Anything that can be done to streamline the process of a. the initial preparation of conceptual art, b. the presentation of that art either as a series of still images or in some cases actual proof of concepts and c. the final development into a released product is of immense value to us.

"It became evident to us during our beta testing that Adobe is fully committed to making the workflow processes, throughout their broad software offerings, targeted to helping those who use the software achieve the maximum throughput without having to sacrifice quality or creativity.

"From a personal point of view the software application I use the most is Fireworks. Beta testing in CS4 demonstrated the improvements inherent in this latest version are far reaching in terms of added value within the product from a creative and workflow situation.

"The whole CS4 is full of "wows" - big ones and little ones! From 3D in Flash and Photoshop, to little things like the cool measure tool in Fireworks there are more than enough new features, improvements, functionality to keep us fully engaged until CS5!"

With Adobe® Creative Suite® 4, developers and designers can go from concept to delivery in one highly integrated environment. The enriched user interface offers greater consistency across programs, delivering familiarity and productivity in a simplified workflow environment. By eliminating the need to repeat tasks in your workflow, CS4 delivers a shortcut to brilliant.

The ability to export a common file format across the suite delivers greater flexibility, making it easier to import Photoshop assets into Flash without losing integrity. Rather than having a visual concept designed in Photoshop or Illustrator, then needing to rebuild it in Flash, Fireworks or Dreamweaver as part of website or mobile development, CS4 can export a common file format that maintains the integrity of the design as a smart object, making it easier and quicker to code.

Adobe Creative Suite 4 also allows you to access features and services that are hosted online, such as Adobe InContext Editing which allows clients or colleagues to make simple edits to a website without impacting the integrity of your design.

"We really have a unique integration story," said Klaus Kurz, business development manager, Media Publishing for Central Europe. "With Adobe Flash CS4 integration and a single user interface, all the products now have the same look and feel. We're no longer Macromedia and Adobe, we're one big brand; our story is now complete.

"Our integrated technologies and workflow will help customers speed up their processes and have a shorter time to market with their production, so it will increase their productivity," he continued. "But we also bring some fantastic creative features across the product spectrum. So this isn't just about productivity; we're also bringing enhanced creativity to our customers."
